i got 'em

i got the CD-Rs!!! 100 of them!

Okay, so now that i bought the CDs, i've been burning up a storm all day. I've burned two copies of Modest Mouse and 3 copies so far of Franz Ferdinand. I also burned a CD full of weezer b-sides, so if you're a fan, contact me if you want this.

CDs are going to cost 50 cents each. That's dirt cheep so i don't want to hear a single complaint. The people who paid dues get a CD for free. how cool is that? don't you wish you paid your dues now? I'm going to send out some emails this week to tell people that i have copies of CDs for them. So check your emails. I'll bring the burnt cds to the next meeting and each after that.
By having the CDs this cost and if we sell all of them, we'll be able to buy another 100 pack once this one runs out. great huh?

Oh, i'm asking that everyone try to bring a friend to the club that is remotely or totally into our kind of music. We really could use more members. Plus we'd have more fun and more CDs we could burn off each other. :D

so if people need rides... ask in the comments for numbers of people with cars... or just call them cause i'm sure you know them personally anywho.

the show is $8, yes quite a deal, it's like, two lunches so chew on that before going ahead and getting that double latte mocha vanilla frappichino...with whipped cream.

so the title's a non-sequitor but hey, this week we're either watching the weezer dvd ... or finishing Hard Day's Night... perhaps we will vote on it during the meeting!

on other topics... i'm thinking we're gonna bring in some samples of the not so silent night lineup.. as about half the club does have tickets.. so that means we'll be diggin some Franz Ferdinand, Interpol, modest mouse, Muse, the Killers... and we can all forget taking back ... that day at the end of the week.

so yeah, emily, since you have the modest mouse...that'd be groovy to bring and i have the rest handled.. unless alex wants to bring her ACTUAL copy of Franz and rachel wants to bring her ACTUAL copy of the killers but i'll bring it all anywho ;P

p.s. -- for all those interested, morrissey is on dave letterman tonight, 11/16, hopefully for two songs but truly i have no idea... i'm taping it anyway so i'll probably bring it in but it's CBS at 11:35... as alex says we get "five extra minutes of news."
